Episode 1: The Impossible Astronaut
Three days before the series opened, we heard the very sad news that Elisabeth Sladen had died. The world of Doctor Who was rocked to its knees. A huge loss to so many people (I think something for the future of this site will be to include character/actor tributes of some form so watch out for that!) but the show had to go on.My comments at the time: [Posted in the blog]
Episode 2: Day Of The Moon
Unusual to start on a two part story but it set up so much more that would run through the first half of the series and beyond (still to be answered of course!) This series was already looking very big...My comments at the time: [Posted in the blog]
Episode 3: The Curse Of The Black Spot
An episode that appears to have universally panned! I think it was at this point that my reviews and comments really became critical reviews. For once there was actually something negative to say rather than just a passing "xyz wasn't so good but it was OK". As I said shortly after, it's hard to say it was a bad episode when it looked so good and the cast were brilliant but... I'd say it's the weakest Matt Smith episode so far (I know I didn't like "Vincent And The Doctor" and wasn't keen on "Vampires Of Venice" but at least they had some... something!)My comments at the time: [Posted in the blog]
Episode 4: The Doctor's Wife
With previous predictions regarding River Song, this episode was eagerly anticipated from the moment it's title was announced and with Neil Gaiman as the writer it was going to be a top piece of sci-fi... and indeed it was very well received! My comments at the time: [Posted in the blog]
Episodes 5 & 6: The Rebel Flesh / The Almost People
Practically no discussion on these two episodesMy comments at the time Episode 5: [Posted in the blog]

Episode 7: A Good Man Goes To War
As would appear normal, this finalé (albeit mid series) was followed by silence on the forum! Never fear, however, I soon made up for that :DMy comments at the time [Posted in the blog]
